Sheriff’s Office warns of mail thefts

The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in halting a rash of thefts in northern McLeod County.
The thefts are primarily thefts from mail boxes, according to Sheriff Scott Rehmann. They have recently been concentrated in northwest and north central McLeod County.
Anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office. If the crime is under way or involves an emergency, callers should dial 911. If there is no emergency and the crime is not in progress, call the non-emergency line at (320) 864-3134.
